Panthia - A Fun Merge Game 4+

I just got this game a couple hours ago, and so far I have not had any problem with it, except for one thing. The trees need from 5 - 20 energy, depending on which tree it is, and they give you 100 energy in total. However, the trees with 5 energy only gives you like 3 items at a time, and most of the time they aren’t the same, so you can’t do anything but use more energy on another tree, or keep using energy on the same tree, but the same tree will need more energy than before. Also, you can buy 100 energy with gems, but as you keep playing the game, the energy starts to get more and more expensive. For example, at first, you can get 100 e energy for free, then it goes up to 15 gems, and then it goes up to 30 gems and so on. I do love the storyline though and I love the characters too. I would give this game 5 stars if not for the energy problem. Thank you for reading my review.

If you like to merge coin pieces, THIS IS THE GAME FOR YOU. It takes three days to complete one part of an island because it gives you 1000 things you don’t need to 1 thing you do. The majority of the time you are just simply merging coin pieces. It’s free alright, but unless you spend hundreds of dollars, don’t expect to get anywhere too far into this game without sitting for hours waiting on energy to refill (it takes 5 hours to refill and then 3 tasks to empty). Other than that, great game….Seriously, don’t waste your time because that’s all this game does. I’d be willing to even spend money occasionally in a game. But in this one, if you spend, for example, $20 and get 300 energy (round about numbers) you literally can do 3 things (which in this game is chop trees) and then it’s gone. After the first three Islands, the trees take up to 45 energy per “chop” and you only have 100 energy. It takes 3 minutes per 1 energy to rebuild. Do the math. Not worth the time and energy into the game. There are better that have better payouts and are free too. To the guy in the ads calling himself the creator, do better or I’d hide my face at least.

Have people run out of new ideas? Every game out there is some kill the monsters or merge the items game. I’ve played about a million of these games. They give you “energy,” you start the game, you play about 5 or 10 minutes and then it’s curtains for the next 30 minutes or longer, depending on how long the developer wants you to sit around and wait. Games requiring energy to play, cause the game to become a burden. You lose interest about the time you have to keep putting it down and picking it up, over and over again.
Then there is the design aspect. Why not give the player the option to design the areas. Each player could have a unique area and enjoy their own creation, instead of the game doing it for you. If you want to drag players in, give them a reason to spend time in the game. I’ve noticed that games that give people the ability to be creative, keep them coming back. But that’s a whole other bag to unpack. I also agree with others…the boards aren’t large enough either.

On a positive note. The characters are cute (fairies and all) and the graphics aren’t bad. I can think of a lot of ways to make this game more interesting and set it apart from other merge games, but alas, I’m not the creator.

I should have went to school for software engineering. Could have had a lot of fun.
