Description

Padlet is a digital canvas to create beautiful projects that are easy to share and collaborate on.

It works like a piece of paper. We give you an empty page - a padlet - and you can put whatever you like on it. Drag in a video, record an interview, snap a selfie, write your own text posts or upload some documents, and voilà! A padlet is born. Make it even more beautiful by choosing custom wallpapers and themes.

Padlet is different from other blogging tools and inspiration boards because it’s flexible. Create a grocery list, a Venn diagram, a discussion board, a group greeting card, a portfolio, or a business plan, all in one app. Used by teachers, students, professionals, and individuals of all ages, all around the world, padlets can be selectively shared and edited among multiple contributors.

Padlet for iPhone takes the Padlet you know and love, and makes it portable. With views tailored for smaller devices and easy-to-use editor buttons, you can change how your padlet looks with a quick tap. Personalize it with selfies. Use our new menu to invite others to view and edit your padlets. Share across social platforms.

ClassKit integration makes it easier for teachers to share and track their students when working on padlets. Teachers can create handouts that include a padlet and then share the assignment to their respective classes. The students are then able to open the padlet from the SchoolWork app and start work on their assignments right away. Teachers will be able to see who has opened the assignment, how long they have worked on the assignment, and whether or not they have completed their work.

Millions of people are already using Padlet for:

Amazingly diverse tool

I originally heard of Padlet a couple years before I started using it. The idea sounded cool, and I bookmarked it to “come back to” at a later date. I wished that I hadn’t waited two years to do so! Once I did, I was greet with a great tool, and the app version is so powerful! Where most apps are obviously lightweight and limited versions of their powerful website “big brothers,” Padlet seems to pack just as much of a punch as its affiliated desktop website. Not only that, but Padlet just added a handful of new ways to post material. For a website that already seemed have limitless possibilities, I can’t believe it just got even stronger! Amazing work!

Great in theory. Glitches and bugs make the app very frustrating.

Make sure you save as you write, and often. I’ve lost progress SO many times because the app will glitch while I’m working (e.g., screen turns completely white, closes suddenly, freezes, etc.), which sometimes even happens on the desktop version. Other times it will take SEVERAL refreshes or retries before a card will actually show the latest version after a save, which has caused me to accidentally save over new versions with old versions on multiple occasions. I should really stop writing/editing text in the app directly and just copy/paste from Google docs instead, but I shouldn’t have to do that. There really needs to be a version history feature, a revert to previous draft feature, an autosave feature, or a way to retrieve cards that were deleted in error—because as it is now, once a version is lost, it’s gone forever.

I love this app so much in theory. With this many bugs, though (and with my most recent lost save, which I’m still mourning) I’m just not sure I can keep using it.

Good….but not great….

Padlet is an app i never heard of. Its an app my ELA teacher told me of in 5th grade, i didn’t like using it because……who likes doing homework? But i had to do it to stay as an A+ student so I used Padlet pretty often so i know padlet a lot. Padlet is a good app but there is a glitch or something that happens when i click on padlet, a blank white screen comes, i even tried re-downloading multiple times but it never worked. There is a problem that needs to be fixed but it doesn’t matter to me anymore because school is about to end and i will never do homework again! I mean except for 6th grade and every other grade that is left. I wouldn’t need to use padlet anymore so i wouldn’t care. But…..padlet still needs to be fixed or whatever because there is a glitch happening right now. This is all I got to say for now to help padlet.
