Optimity: Health & Rewards 12+

Overall I like the app. It has been motivating to me to get out and walk more and to do the little daily exercises. I’ve lost so much muscle, strength & stamina from persistent chronic tick diseases so the 1-2 minutes of exercise is perfect for me- challenging yet doable.

What I don’t understand is why the reward gift card is either $5 for 10,000 gems (ALWAYS out of stock) or $5 for 20,000 gems. Why even offer the reward for 10,000 gems if it’s never available? And who would choose to pay 20,000 for the same amount? It should be $10 for 20,000. Or remove the teaser of the 10,000 gem reward since it is never available even right at the moment they say it gets restocked.

I’m not doing this for the $5 gift card but my 14 year old daughter is and it’s been discouraging for her to see it listed but never available. And it’s frustrating to me bcs I don’t want her to lose motivation to keep going with this increased walking she’s been doing.

After using this for SEVERAL months, and walking MANY miles.. I’ve still yet to ever get anything. That’s because the way their “auctions” are set up for only 1 winner per day (which the developers will reply and say “that’s the fair way, blah blah) BUT ITS NOT! Because, every day the bid amount gets higher and higher, because the people that have been using the app the longest will of course always have the highest bids and with so many users, it’s going to take YEARS just to be able to be at the top! Yes, you can do extra things for gems, but it’s usually watching endless ads and taking quizzes. So, it’s just not worth taking up the extra data and storage space to wait YEARS to get a measly $5 card! So I just deleted it and use other apps (like Evidation and Cash Walk) that are more realistic and attainable!
Of course, they do have other “offers” for a tiny percentage off of REALLY expensive fitness items that you can get with gems, but $10 off a $100 smart water bottle..no thanks ✋🏻🙃
I guess this app would be okay if you want some extra health/fitness tips, but honestly, just do some research..but definitely don’t use this for “rewards” because you’re gonna wait A WHILE!

The auction system provides a fairer opportunity, considering even if you aren't one of the many highest bidders, you can still win a reward through our raffle system, as 85% of rewards are distributed through the auction and 15% are distributed through the raffle. I got this app because it advertises being able to win rewards for walking... but that’s not really the case. You earn points or gems by walking, and I actually enjoy how their point system works and that gems are easy to accumulate; HOWEVER, once you earn the gems they are pretty much useless. The only “rewards” that are actually offered are raffles for prizes- so you spend your gems with no actual guarantee of an actual reward .
