Version 3.0.4 is out

As a middle-aged programmer who recently lost his job, I developed OctoCalc while learning Swift. What started as a simple learning project unexpectedly gained traction after its release on the App Store, with users even willing to pay for it. Touched by this trust, I made a firm commitment: to create a calculator truly worthy of users' expectations.

I dedicated countless hours to studying the limitations of existing calculators and carefully listening to every user's feedback. After two complete rebuilds and numerous sleepless nights, I'm proud to present version 3.0.

Today, Octopus Calculator is an intelligent calculator with a human touch. It not only reads out buttons and calculation results but also provides different haptic feedback to make calculations more tactile and engaging. To make the calculator more accessible, I even invited a visually impaired user to test it and incorporated their needs into the design.

You can simply speak out your calculations, and Octopus Calculator will instantly compute them for you. It's also quickly accessible from the Control Center. Every feature added stems from my pursuit of making calculations simpler and more intuitive.

Starting over in my career hasn't been easy, but every word of encouragement and support from users warms my heart and strengthens my determination to keep improving. I'm currently working on even more thoughtful features. In the next major update, I believe you'll be amazed to discover just how much a simple calculator can enhance your daily life.
