NoMi: Personality Test 12+

I’ve been playing this for about a week and it’s very on point with how it analyzes me and has made me recognize deep realizations about myself. I’m not advocating for it to be a replacement for therapy, but it’s insights are spot on, often more accurate than the insights I get at therapy. I think it’s perfectly acceptable to use this a self discovery app, which I love and seems to align with the intended purpose.

At the time of writing this review, it seems like the constant crashing some people have complained about has been fixed, as it’s never crashed on me once.

I have a suggestion that someone else brought up that I agree with: add in other genders to play as. It’s not a big deal for me personally but it would greatly improve the experience. I think having a playable male character and androgynous character would help deepen the experience.

As for the main reason my review is 4 stars instead of 5, I’ve been having an issue with the count down. It’s been at least a week, but the counter says I still have to wait 2 more days. Other than that, I don’t have any major issues.

(Also Reid is to simp for and is my favorite part of the app.)

This app has played a huge role in my mental health journey.

The purpose of the app is to give insights and help you discover who you are, and as someone dealing with depression and a very low self esteem, this app did just that. It helped me find my positive and negative traits: the negative ones I knew well of, but the positive ones I didn’t realize were a part of me.

Though the app stories have a specific pathing and a “correct” answer, they record what choices you WANTED to make, which gives more insight in your character rather than placing you in a box of “right” and “wrong,” as some people would like to paint.

After every couple of stories are played, you are brought to a conversation about why you made the choices you did, and it gives possible reasons, but ultimately allows you to record your own. And after enough stories are played, you are given an overall account of who you are.

This detail of the app is very developed, though I’m still not entirely sure how it works. I imagine I am speaking to a sort of AI that takes my information into account and compiles reasons and possible personality traits, to find why I’d make those specific choices.

Of course, as the app is still in earlier stages, there are bugs to be encountered. But there is a very responsive Discord community that pays attention and listens!

I have a great time with this app and I love learning more about myself. Thank you to the developers!

I haven’t had any problems with crashing since downloading the game last week! The stories are unique and refreshing and I like that you can type in chat with Dr. Reid to get insight. It’s really clever and makes you really feel like you can influence the game! Good job guys and keep up the good work with development!

Only note would be that I think it’d be nice from a player perspective to have some longer stories with chapters as you get more into cause it can get a bit repetitive after playing it for a while and feel a little boring only doing short stories once you have your “character.”
Just a suggestion though! Love what you have going on and think this is really good for an early stage game!
