Description
Nightmares is a dark fantasy themed collectible card game with a built in roguelike deck builder mode. Rifts into different realms have begun to open. Call forth Cthulhu and his denizens of the deep from the Sunken City, command the demonic armies of The Void or send the nightmarish creatures that live in The Black Forest after your opponent as you attempt to defeat them before you lose your sanity. Nightmares features a base set and multiple expansions, with new sets being added every few months. Take on opponents in PvP or try a full roguelike challenge in Campaigns where your opponents and your rewards scale as your progress.

Interesting start
Not much in terms of polish, but doesn’t hinder gameplay. Is there a place to file bugs or discuss decks, maybe a discord? Arachnophilia (demon/spider bystander) bug report. Fear effect +1/+2 for demons on play doesn’t seem to do anything. Tried summoning the 1/1 and playing a demon from hand. Unsure if I understood the effect.

Thank you so much for playing Nightmares! We do have a Discord, it's a great place to report issues and also to coordinate games with other players. Since we're still a small (but growing) community, it's the best place to stay informed and interact with other players! https://discord.gg/dn2GVYXtrA
Lots of potential for more in game.
The game is great, it has fun cards and artwork for them, there are some fun features to the game, it focuses on a theme that you don’t see much, and also it has its own unique game mechanics to stand out from other ccgs (the sanity mechanic for example). I would say the main reason the game isn’t pulling in a ton of players right now is possibly because the game itself isn’t very flashy or visually appealing as some other mobile ccgs/tcgs, like MTG: Arena. Don’t get me wrong I like the design and such, but it still isn’t on the winning side with most of the players, so I mean if you wanted to improve the game, pull in more players, etc. I suggest adding maybe some minor animation for the cards, maybe some changes on the way some items or backgrounds look. Besides the idea of pulling in more things to pull in people, some things that I personally would like in the game are more packs, cards, more different factions (I don’t have anything wrong with the first three factions I just like lots of different stuff to do in a game.) idk maybe a story? Either way these are just possible suggestions for the game.

Thank you so much for the kind words and for the feedback! We're actually working on pretty much everything you've mentioned. We know the animations need to be beefed up and some of the design elements need to be improved. We're a really small team (there's only two of us) but we're hard at work on consistently improving the game and adding more and more polish to it! We're also currently working on the next expansion so there should be more cards coming into the game soon (with new expansions coming every few months). We may be a small team but we're extremely dedicated to the future of Nightmares! Thank you again for trying the game out and taking the time to provide us feedback, we really appreciate it!
A lot of promise.
So, upon checking the game out, I dig many of the rules of the game. Seems very stream lined, the art is amazing, and it’s easy enough to pick up but hard to figure out exactly what is the best thing to go with (I like that in a game). Right now, not getting anything except changing artwork while waiting for a match (even a timer would be nice), I’d imagine lack of players currently, no way to see what the other cards do (card lists or something similar would help this, and give players something to strive for. On top of that, I have currency, but don’t know what cards are in what packs, so no information to base purchases on) All in all, it feels like there needs to be cleaning up of the client, a bit more information about the cards…but the game feels very solid, and I’m very impressed for a team of two people. Were this to be released in physical form, I’d likely purchase quite a bit of it, and get others into it.
Update- have played more, and been able to see the card list online. I feel like this game has tons of promise, and can’t wait to see how it progresses.

Thank you so much for the kind words! We are working on adding the ability to see the cards that aren't in your collection in client so you can see what you're missing. And plan to add set symbols to the cards so you can see which cards belong to which packs. Definitely still have a lot we can do to improve the client but we're dedicated to continue to improve it. We want our players to have the best experience possible!
