Love the notifications
I'm often unaware of what is happening locally. The notifications give me an immediate update that I can follow up with getting more information when interested.
Too many notifications
It is very helpful having an app where you can access local news. It is not helpful having a notification come up with seemingly every story regardless of significance. This is very disruptive. It would be much better if this was reserved for times when public may need to be aware of dangerous situations or action is needed. Or even if there was a large news story developing in the area that is of a national news level. It seems lately the frequency of these notifications has risen sharply. I have turned this feature off now which is disappointing. It was helpful having alerts when schools were delayed or significant events were happening.
Live Streaming improved, others need fixing.
The app is good, with KNDO and KNDU local news are separated for Yakima and Tri-Cities, although I wish they could make a setting on what city to get the news from first, Yakima or Tri-Cities.
Live streaming is very much improved, link now goes directly to it., but Video and Wake Up Northwest sections do not work, clicking on any video story just goes to black and returns you to list of videos again.
