Organise your book into chapters and scenes:
To get an overview, you can organise your book introduction into small blocks. They're called chapters and they contain several scenes. Scribble your ideas on the built-in corkboard and move them around as you like. Add summaries to the cards on your Corkboard and get a rough outline of your story. The corkboard automatically syncs with your story outline so everything is always up to date.

- Dynamic story corkboard with cards
- Drag and drop to move them around
- Add new scenes and chapters on the fly
- Write chapter summaries for a quick overview

Integrated rich text editor with spell checking
Write on the fly with the powerful built-in rich text editor. Easily format your content with bold, italic or indented text to add style to your story. Use this editor for your scenes, character descriptions and locations.

- Rich text editor with many styles for your content
- Built-in linking for characters and locations
- Spell check and basic grammar check
- Full screen mode

Dynamic linking of characters and locations:
When you create a new character or location, you can use the rich text editor to dynamically add it to your text. This creates a link to the character and if you later rename it, it will automatically update in all your texts. So don't worry about renaming everything manually and take the time to write the next chapter of your book.

- Create characters and locations
- Link them to your texts and they'll be updated automatically when things change.

Export your book:
When you're ready, or if you want to share a sneak preview, you can use the built-in book export. This will export all your chapters with the scenes to your favourite word processor such as MS Word or LibreOffice Writer. You can use this for sharing or even as a backup for yourself.

Synchronise across devices:
With your free MyStory.today account, you can access your work on any device with internet access. On your smartphone on the go, on your tablet or even on your laptop or desktop PC. It's all done automatically - there's no need to export anything manually.

When you're ready to write, download the free app today and start writing your book.

So far, so good

I really enjoy how it’s structured and pretty user friendly. It has so much potential to be more. Keep at it. I do have one issue and recommendations for improvement.

Issue: I’m on an iPhone 11 Max Pro, and it seems I can have the app open too long, and then just crashes closing automatically where I lose unsaved data.

Recommendations: I think the cork board function is amazing! It should be available on every section. Having a different visual elemental can be helpful when reviewing material. Also, being able to link characters and places to chapters or scenes would be great to be able to do, so that way you can make sure the setting is right for the scene and the characters in the scene.

I also think the chapters and scenes should be able to be rearranged instead if having to copy and paste to move the chapter and/or scene. Make moving on the corkboard super easy by just “unpinning” the index cards like you can in real life but digitally.

I also think you should have the labels function available for the whole app and not just the chapters. It will be great to add to places and characters being able to notate who is supporting or what chapter they go in or who is connected to who. Being able to having labels for the places, such as time periods, themes, and so forth. It would be a big help to be able to glance and see this information.

There is so much potential for this app; it’s ridiculous. Keep at it!

Almost perfect.

I’m currently writing a book using this app. And it is doing a amazing job of keeping tack of all my information. Being able to jump over to character summaries and back to writing chapters is nice. The chapters are organized, and when I email myself the manuscript to back it up and edit my latest chapter, everything is organized and laid out almost like a book. It is so much easier to write a book on this app lounging around having it auto fill words, auto correct words. All this while not having to maintain a composed posture behind a keyboard. I have a full time job, and am a full time dad. And yet I’ve been able to write over 18,000 words in the last 10 days!
I do have 2 complaints. The first one, I have seen other bring this up too. Having to scroll all the way back to the top of the page to turn on/off italics or change font or whatever when you’re 2000 words deep into a chapter is a huge time waster. So I’ve taken to just writing plainly and then editing after I send the chapter to my computer.
The other complaint is that if the app crashes, or even just has a hiccup, I loose everything I was just writing in that chapter. I try to save things periodically. But when the creative juices are flowing eh? A couple times this has happened and I can’t remember exactly what i wrote. This is how you make people go crazy.
And that’s it. A solid app. Needs very little change to be the best.

Love it but room for improvement

I love it! Definitely the best writing app I’ve come across so far. The organizational system is so helpful! It even includes the option to view your work as a story board. The only things it’s missing are 1. Better compatibility with the iPad keyboard cases. As of right now the up/down and left/right arrows do not work in the app removing one of the easiest ways to edit on the ipad. 2. A formate where you can view all the chapters and scenes together as if you were viewing/writing them in a word Document or any document that lets you read and write page by page and 3. A more customisable section where you can add, store, and organize characters. It would be nice if you can add your own custom panels to the characters section and write in them like you can with the chapter scenes. At the moment there are only 2: “short summary” and “main description.” For example, making a new panel/scene and naming it “relationships” or “character flaws” then writing more detail in that section. 4. The ability to copy/duplicate scenes and chapters in case you like the formate of the panels of one and want to use the same set up again or just want to keep a copy of an older version your rewriting. 5. The ability to add pictures. Still, I think this is the best writing app I’ve used since the days of A Novel Idea.
