Description

This app will allow eligible RTC ADA Paratransit customers the ability to schedule, confirm, cancel, and view real-time estimated time of arrival for scheduled trips.

Enrollment

First-time users will need to enroll in the system to begin using the app. To enroll you will need to provide your RTC Paratransit ID #, date of birth, and email address (only one client can have the same email address on file). Once you submit, you will need to activate by clicking the link in the email from myRTCpara@rtcsnv.com sent to the email address provided.

Login

In order to log in, you will enter your client ID and password (created at the time of enrollment). If you happen to forget your password, please click on the “forgot your password” link under enrollment, and it will send you an email to recover your password.

To book a new trip, you will need to enter a pick-up address, including unit (apt) # and telephone number of location; your destination address, including unit (apt) # and telephone number of location; and the date of the trip and the time you would like to be picked up or dropped off. Additional information will be requested, including if you need to bring mobility aids and if you would like to add any additional passengers on the trip. On the final screen, please verify the details of your trip request and confirm booking. You have now successfully booked your trip. Please follow the same procedures for any additional trips.

Trips- This will show all of your scheduled trips, and you may click on the trip to display the details, including a map with the location of your pickup and destination. You will be able to click “repeat trip” if you would like to schedule the same trip for another date or cancel trip.


Trip History- This will display any past trips you took with RTC Paratransit service. Simply enter the date parameters by selecting the “to and from” dates you wish to search and click “fetch trips.”

Subscriptions- This will display any recurring trips that have been placed without having to schedule each time. For information on subscriptions, please contact RTC Customer Care at 702-228-4800.
My Profile- This will display your client-specific information and allow you to change your password, if needed.

Announcements- This will display a tutorial video on how to use myRTCpara and any other important notifications, as needed.

Help- This will display definitions of terms used for this application.
General Info- This will take you to the RTC ADA Paratransit webpage for information about the service.

Feedback- This will take you to the RTC online comment form to submit comments about the service or app.

Sign Out- This will log you out of the app.

Where is the little bus?

The details page on the map shows how many minutes away the bus is but there is no longer the little blue bus on the map so you can’t see how far away it is. The bus disappeared

Very buggy and unreliable

Rides constantly show up late, drop you off later than expected, and the app tends to glitch out and fail to show an ETA or any kind of status on the ride, even when the ride is close to arriving, making it possible to miss your ride completely if you’re not looking out for them.

glitches in app?

i’ve been using this app now for almost a year and unfortunately in the last few months there have been quite a few issues.
First issue: you no longer can see where the vehicle is on the app and how far away it is from your location which forces the passenger to have to wait outside in the elements as they only have 5 minutes from the time of driver’s arrival. sometimes, the driver is delayed, so you’re sitting out there for an hour or longer waiting for a ride without knowing when they’re coming.

This issue ties into the next issue which is that the driver’s arrival time is not live. so that means the alert on your app for when the driver is arriving is not accurate. For example: I’ve had it several times now that the app says that the vehicle is not coming for another 10 minutes or more but I’m already on the vehicle enroute to my destination. most drivers do not call the passenger to let them know that they’re here and from my home you cannot see the road.

The most recent issue is that for some reason, after scheduling my rides on the app, the app seemed to have changed my destination. I had taken a screenshot (I usually do this when I schedule a ride on the app) which proved that I had put in one address for destination. however, when I went back on the app 2 days later (5 minutes before scheduled pickup time) the app showed a totally different address as my destination. this caused a host of problems for me.
The least of which was that the rtc paratransit agent blamed me for user error. the rides were canceled by paratransit agent and I was stuck trying to get to my appointment without being able to use paratransit.

right now, your app is not one of my favorite things to have to deal with. I wish you would fix these issues.
