Great motivator

When I first discovered this app, I was elated—seemed like just what I’d been looking for. Then when I first downloaded it, I was a smidge disappointed, because it isn’t quite as “slick” in its design as I’d anticipated. But once I got into it, it became exactly what I wanted. I walked the Camino “with” a pal 600 miles away, and we had a blast. In this pandemic, it gave us a nice chance to be in close touch through the app, and also just to get off the couch. We enjoyed sharing screen shots of our virtual lunch spots and lodgings, and other sights along the way. We researched wines of the Camino, and logged #poolsofthecamino. It’s been really lovely. Neither of us wanted to sync with other trackers (though we both use them) so that wasn’t an issue. And there is a nice Facebook group that has gathered to support mvm trekkers which I recommend.

Great idea,terrible app

I saw some of the reviews that were bad about this app and I thought well it can’t be that bad. It is that bad. I think that with my Apple Watch, but I have to manually enter in my steps at the end of the day it says it’s connected but it doesn’t pick up anything. The usability of the app is bad, you can’t really see what’s going on as far as where you stack up it’s kind of like looking at Google maps or something. I do get postcards when I meet certain milestones that they are to me from me, so that’s kind of weird. There’s not any scenery or anything along the way that make it like a virtual experience at all, it’s basically entering in your steps and seeing the percentage you’ve completed, and getting a virtual postcard to me from me and that’s about it. It says I can join a team but I don’t know anything about these teams. I see a bunch of people on the same mission, and I can click at them and look at them but really who cares. He kind of reminds me of the queue that you see of people trying to climb Everest....A log jam of people along the trail. So I love the idea, I would like to be able to see more visually, I would like the thing to actually sync up my steps from my device like it said it would, and I would like more of a virtual experience of where I’m at on this thing instead of looking at some weird Google map type of thing. I bought two missions, so I’ll do the next one. But this app needs a ton of work

Love this!

I have participated in several missions now. I love the medals and think they are well made. Once I figured out how to use the app and website, it has been so easy. It keeps me active and gives me a great goal to accomplish. I also love the map feature, where I can follow my path on Google Earth. A special note deserves to be made for 2020. I have finished and started missions during the pandemic. Because the supply chains were affected, some of the medals were late in being delivered. The company has bent over backward to keep good communication with their participants. I always knew when they were expecting shipments and deliveries. The global supply chain is out of the control of small businesses. This company did everything they could to deliver on time, and immediately sent out medals when they became available. They have had great customer service through it all and I have nothing but respect for them!
