Connectivity issues

Loving the product but app needs some work. Seems like I connectivity issues with the app. One or both hearing aids will disconnect without notice. App is a little slow and I don’t like that it automatically connects when there is a call or for streaming. I know I can change that. However the process to connect, in my opinion, has to many steps. Why does the connections show in my Bluetooth settings where it would be easier to manage? Devices show in accessibility. Doesn’t make sense.

Thank you for the feedback. You are using Made for iPhone hearing aids. Apple has decided to give the pairing to the phone is a special location.
Your hearing aids can connect to other Apple devices using your iCloud account and on the same WIFI.

Great app

I almost didn’t buy my Starkey hearing aids because of all the bad reviews of this app. But I haven’t had any problems with the app my hearing aids stay paired almost all the time. Whenever I email Starkey they respond very quickly. The app is a bit basic but works beautifully for me. One problem I did have :
I purchased a new IPhone 16 pro and initially I couldn’t pair my hearing aids to my new phone after transferring my information to my new phone I brought it to my audiologist who called Starkey apparently there is a problem with some of the newer iPhones. But the technician from Starkey walked her through how to pair them and she got them paired. If you have a similar problem contact your audiologist or call Starkey. I love my new hearing aids and I’m glad I purchased them from an audiologist. They are Genesis AI 24’s they were very expensive $6,500 but I was very fortunate my health insurance covered 100% of the cost.

TV Streaming Finicky

The app is a great improvement over the Thrive App, but the TV Streaming part of the App is terrible. It drops the connection to the hearing aids while streaming and then the aids need to be reconnected, sometimes the app needs to be closed and reopened and or the iPhone 16 Pro (iOS 18.3) restarted. IN THE MIDDLE OF STREAMING VIDEO! This is terrible. It will also disconnect from the aids intermittently if one stops streaming. Saving programs at different locations doesn’t always take. This is a good app, but after purchasing 2 new streamers for these aids, for the app to work with them so poorly is highly disappointing.

UPDATE:

My issue is not the streaming being interrupted by a text. The issue is that it disconnects on its own, and drops the connection to one or both hearing aids.

Reconnecting often only reconnects one hearing aid, but not the other. Often requiring restarting the phone.

Thank you for your comments. Please be aware that the phone notifications will be prioritize over the TV streamer. This will cause the streaming to stop. Currently one needs to reengaged the TV streamer. The geo tagging of memories should work. Please try removing and setting it up anew.
