A second looksecond look

After a rather frustrating start and giving the App an initial 1 star rating and a scathing review, I decided to continue trying to work with it since I had already paid for it. That’s when I discovered that in order to use a template, you must hold the iPad in portrait orientation.

I also discovered that there are indeed more than 8 templates available as I had stated in my initial review, although I don’t know if their advertised claim of “hundreds” of templates is accurate.

The quality of the videos produced in text to video mode is fairly good, but only 5 seconds long and there are no settings or adjustments other than landscape vs. portrait orientation. The AI never seems to quite get it right when making a video from text. It’s close, but it would take a lot of tweaking to get the results you want and considering the time required to generate video, it really needs to be more accurate on the first pass.

The template for turning a photo into video, at times, does a remarkable job of bringing a photo to life, even an AI generated photo of mythological characters or beasts like winged T-Rexes, fire breathing dragons, or kittens in armor.

My number one request is the option to create videos longer than 5 seconds.

I’m changing my rating from 1 star to 4 star. The App is easy to use and gives good results. I would recommend this App.

I regret purchasing lifetime…

I bought the lifetime which was a mistake. Text to video plain and simply doesn’t work. 99% of the time it can’t create the simplest video like a person doing jumping jacks. Not even close. Many times it just makes a photo and slowly zooms in on it. Videos are about 2 or 3 seconds and take several minutes to create. Dancing videos take anywhere from 15-20 minutes to process. Only 1 task can run at a time. Once it starts, you can’t cancel. So your app will be unusable for 15-20 minutes if you choose a dance video. I’m sure it’s similar with other features. I’m just really disappointed and made a bad purchase. The 5 star reviews that made me purchase this are now clearly friends or affiliates of the app designer(s) and it worked. This app was not ready for launch. They have lots of work to do. Starting with getting AI to generate anything at all that you are wanting, allowing task cancellations, reducing processing time, etc… And the dance videos you make, you have to choose from the tiny gallery of 5 second dances which are all girly dances. So you’ll be reusing the same dances every time. Not a lifetime of fun. This app will get old very quickly. If the app updates and gets better, I will update. Just trying to be open and honest.

CONSUMERS CALL TO ACTION!

This has to stop guys. There’s a very bad trend in the App world these days. First of all five seconds in duration is not a video so they shouldn’t even be advertising that they can make videos but more importantly you have to pay before you even know that their product is not something that you want to purchase. What’s so hard about letting us make an HD GIF so that we can know whether or not we want to spend money but instead we’re just getting milk for it I’m not gonna use this product. It doesn’t make videos. I had to pay $29 for a lifetime membership which was 90% off to find out that I’m not gonna use this ever again all the apps are doing this everybody we need to stop buying it. We need to start writing reviews like this. I give this no stars because there was no service of which they advertised or claimed to be producing and giving given. They made me pay for a lie before I could find out. It was a lie. It’s straight up highway robbery every time any of us purchases any of these subscriptions. We’re just perpetuating this horrible waste of our own resources. And making a world where there is no consumer rights and no responsibility or accountability for the businesses making these apps.
