- Added an option for no border to map areas. The border now toggles between normal ⇒ thick ⇒ none ⇒ normal.
- Fixed some navigation issues for map editor, where “Loading Map” would be shown and the map would never load.
- Put the editor settings in alphabetical order.
Ratings and Reviews
Works amazingly, slight tweaks wanted
The app works amazingly, allowing creation of items and easy characters. A godsend to those wanting to learn how to play the game allowing for a quick introduction instead of introducing paperwork first. Although I am finding some issue in editing items such as changing a damage type for weapons or adding a damage type for custom weapons. For example if I change the pulse rifle’s damage type from 3d10 to 2d10 it will still show 3d10 on its bubble but when opening the customize menu again it shows 2d10, or if I create a weapon and add 1d10 damage it won’t show any damage but does the same as the pulse rifle showing it in the customize ui. Not too big an issue as the rest works spectacularly and is definitely a go to for my group now.

Great for remote play
My friends live out of state so I’m forced to play games remotely with them on Zoom or Discord. We started a Mothership campaign before the app came out, and used it for our final session, and it made a huge difference. Most of the players are novices to the world of TTRPGs, and you could immediately sense how much more at ease they were using the app. They could hold their roll results up to the camera for everyone to see, it streamlined stat checks and inventory stuff, and, frankly, it made everything look a lot cooler. Even I, a physical dice classist, found myself charmed by the layout and presentation. I’ve already rolled my character for the next campaign, and I can’t wait to dive in with this tool available from the get go.
Blew my mind
I didn’t think I could get any more excited for the soon to be releasing Mothership 1e… and then this companion app released.
I can’t wait to get this app to my players. Character creation is a snap (and fun!), rolling dice through the app is a breeze and opens up the ability to play *anywhere.* The design of the app is simple and striking. Fantastic stuff.
The only thing I’d like to see is an option to make the character illustration full screen so you can introduce your character to everyone at the table by holding up your phone. Such a minor detail- this app is so rad!
