Like others said, the link in the text message will ask you to download the app. And on the app page, it requires you to sign up, with your phone(I stopped there and deleted it immediately. So I don’t know whatelse information app asks)

Also saw some reviews asking for the web page. As a tech guy, I can tell you it doesn’t require much work to build a simple web page that shows how many folks are ahead of you. The app owner forces users to download and register so they can have more App Installs and Monthly Active Users. :(

Please don’t ask for my number and dob just to see my spot in line. If you can tell me that no third party accesses my data besides the restaurant and you in the developer response then I’ll happily delete this.

Update: They claim they do not, but there is no way for me to delete this so I’m just going to leave 4 stars. I still think this should be a web app as the other reviewers have said as well. Hope the devs take this feedback to heart

This app forces you to sign up, share your phone number and email just to check the waitlist. They claim it’s to “ provides additional features like exclusive deals and promotion”

AKA to funnel spam and ads into your phone.

It’s ridiculous, people just want access ta a waitlist not to have this third rate developer’s marketing shoved down their throats.
