Menards‪®‬ 4+

I saw the Christmas Santa ornament that you can blow out the candle on a tree on a tree display separately tagged for the price. A asked a worker where to find this ornament and he told me that I had to buy the whole tree. I said there’s a separate skew and price for it. And that my grandkids Papa had passed away and he was Santa. He said they didn’t have anymore unless I bought the display. I went to guest service and Spoke to Ale and she said I could order from another Menards and PU. I asked if she would help me get from Morton grove. She did and even helped when I couldn’t remember my password. I was able to confirm purchase within 10 minutes with Ale (Alessandra). She is wonderful and will make grandkids, kids and Papa’s wife holiday memorable. Please give her a raise! Liza M ( PS - I was able to order 6 more for each of the family. Thank you Ale !!

John Menard, the richest person in Wisconsin, should take some of his 20 billion dollars and buy a decent app.

You just wiped out my saved cart snd my list. Years and years of work putting that list together and you erased it shame on you. you are horrible horrible people.

The search engine doesn’t work. Have to use Google instead. It’s difficult to order things on the app. Copy Home Depot. And then get some lockers and put in the front of the store so you can pick your stuff up. Also, they charge a fee for online orders. Nobody else does. What’s that all about? They could very easily clean up their act. I don’t understand why they don’t. Like the store though. Don’t shop at Menards! I was verbally abused and physically threatened by the manager and his goons. I had a problem with a return instead of working it out he screamed at me and threaten me. This is no way to treat a regular customer. now their app completely wiped out my shopping cart. I had many things on there I was going to buy and they’re all gone. it took me a long long time to compile that list and I don’t remember everything that was on it. I’m not gonna put it back together. I’m going to shop at Home Depot instead. They don’t do this to you. Don’t shop at Menards!

Is it any surprise that the worst home improvement store has the worst app? Certain other hardware store chains (who I won’t name) make it easy to locate items and shop from home; that’s because those apps are actually, you know, useful and stuff. But year after year, Menards continues to roll out an app that appears to be for decorative purposes only.

Beyond that, I wasn’t ok with Menards’ useless age discrimination policy during the height of the pandemic (e.g., banning people under the age of 18 from even entering the store), and I haven’t forgotten. It made absolutely no sense, given that kids were never the ones disproportionately affected by the pandemic. Funny how Menards didn’t ban older adults, if they were oh so concerned with protecting vulnerable age groups, but then again, why would they? After all, the elderly might actually spend money at their stores, whereas non-paying kids tagging along with their parents were a much safer target for their bias.

Plenty of other options out there for hardware and home repair, where the apps are actually functional and customers of all age are treated with respect. I won’t shop at Menards again.
