MagicPin: Disney Pin Collector 4+

This is what I’ve been waiting for

I love this app. I look at my pins a lot more now because they are just an open of an app away. Some of the pins I collect are it’s a Small World. I was at Disneyland last month and didn’t buy one because I wasn’t 100% sure if I already had the pin. Now with this app, I can track my collection with ease.

Useless Unless You Pay

The app is neat enough to start off, but all you can do without having to pay is have 40 pins marked as “collected.” You cant start trading or buying without paying… which seeing as how the entire point of the app IS to collect, buy, and trade I feel like it’s a bit of a money trap.

The app could be a lot more inclusive if the paid version added perks as opposed to determining the entire function of the app. This could be making those who pay see more pin trade offers or have more trades per given time or LIMITING (giving them the opportunity to trade but still not as much as payers) how many trades one can make per given time.

When you first sign up for an account you get 2 boards for free, where you can display 40 of your favorite pins. If you want to enjoy full access to the MagicPin marketplace, have pin visibility to all Disney parks, plus get additional boards and spaces, it's just $1.99/month - that's less than a cup of gas station coffee! 🫣 This small fee helps subsidize the cost we incur every month to store your pins on our cloud server.

Needs photo picking and info import

Neat idea, but I’d like to be able to pick photos from my library instead of taking photos via the app. The quality of photos taken through the app is pretty poor. I’d also like to be able to look up and import the info about my pin when I add it to the app. There are other databases out there that I can use to look up pin info and track the pins I own, but they don’t seem to have mobile apps. The perfect app would combine the lookup, tracking, and trading features of MagicPin and those other database sites.

We greatly appreciate your feedback.

We're actually in the process of adding the option for a user to upload photos from their phone's library rather than being forced to take a picture within the app itself - this will be available in a future update.

That being said, we've been steadily growing our pin database in an effort to make the user experience the best it can possibly be. With there being hundreds of thousands of pins, this simply takes time.

We do have a process in place where you can submit pins that aren't recognized and we will manually add them to the MagicPin database for you. Please reach out if you need assistance with this.
