Does not even install on iphone (Updated)

I have spent 5 hours trying to install this app. I have restarted both my phone and iwatch numerous times. The app icon shows up but when I open the iwatch app, the app is not there to install on my watch. The app also does not connect to my Sonos app. I’ll try again a few times more, but it is looking like refund time.

Well.. I discovered what my problem was. I was trying to install the app using my iPhone 6Plus and a third generation iWatch. Doesn’t work! Ahhhhhh!! So, I got a new iPhone 12 and a new iWatch 6. Expensive way to solve an app problem. The app works now. My only criticism is that I can’t really adjust the volume using the watch app. As soon as I touch the volume control, it mutes the sound. I would like a volume control in the that I can use to control the volume, not just mute the sound. Other than that one concern, I love being able to control my system on my watch.
(I recommend that you make the system requirements for not the phone and the watch now clear so that you don’t wind up with grumpy customers like I was earlier.)

Developer Response ,

Hi,

If an app does not install properly this is a bug in iOS and watchOS.
You can install the app by opening the App Store on the watch and download it from there. This requires that you have at least watchOS 6 installed.

Kind regards
Alexander Heinrich

Decent, but buggy since Watch OS 10

App is good and much needed, and client support in Frankfort appears to be professional (though I haven’t had occasion to use it yet). Just wish the app would stay open through its use instead of closing when you lower your wrist, but that’s a story that’s related to why the iPhone app is now less useful and less integrated into iOS than it was before. And just since Watch OS 10, it also seems buggy (doesn’t update to the onscreen info of the current track). Hope I can one day give it 5 stars, but not now 😊

A must-buy for a Sonos user

There are a lot of apps that don’t seem natural on an Apple Watch. Lyd is NOT one of them. This app has become my go-to tool for managing the Sonos speakers in the house particularly when I’m doing construction or cleaning. The best feature is just being able to turn down the volume quickly when someone arrives that I need to talk to.

Like any app that depends on other apps or systems to work, it can sometimes be slow to initially figure out what is playing where and give me the options to stop/start/change volume. I have 3 rooms setup and would really like it to check play status in the background, so when I open it, it’s got all of the current room data ready.

Overall it’s always getting better, continues to be one of my favorite apps, and would benefit from knowing room play status immediately upon being opened.
