The Best Puzzle Game I’ve Ever Played!

As someone who enjoys puzzles, I must admit that it’s very difficult to find anything that is both challenging and fun, so it goes without saying that my expectations for puzzle games are high, but when I say this game blew those expectations out of the water, I mean it. I’ve never found anything this fun and engaging before. Hats off to the creators, designers, developers, and anyone else who helped to craft this masterpiece. Well done!

Great game but…

I really enjoy this game. I like how it’s broken up into multiple chapters and how you can see your progress upon login for each chapter. The only thing I don’t like is you can’t pick up many of the objects until you actually need them in the game instead of being able to pick them up when you find it. For example, I find a hammer, and when I click on it. The game will tell me it’s a hammer, but it will not let me pick it up because I don’t need it right now. But then later on in the game, I end up finding a ladder that needs to be nailed and because it requires a hammer, now when I go back to the hammer I’m able to pick it up. It’s confusing and I should be able to pick it up when I find it whether I need it now or later. I have played many other games with the same company that don’t do this and allow you to pick it up immediately and it just goes into your bank of collected items to choose from when you need them. If you fix this, then the game will be perfect.

Not as good as previous games

I’ve been a fan of these games for a long time and there is no denying they are outstanding, but this one seemed different than their previous games.

First, you are unable to pick up items until you need them.
For instance, you come across an item, but when you click on it, it just tells you what it is and you can’t add it to your inventory.
Then, somewhere down the line, you need that item, so you have to go all the way back to where you first saw it, (if you can remember), and then add it to your inventory.
It makes things so tedious and confusing and I don’t remember any of the previous games having this mechanic.

Second, the instructions for a lot of the puzzles are awful.
There are no detailed instructions on what you are supposed to do, or how the puzzle works, it’s very obscure.
I was left to figure a lot of them out by trial and error, which takes a while.

Everything else was top notch as usual. Graphics, as always, are outstanding and the story, although not as involved as others, was still good. I enjoyed seeing the origins of the established characters from other games.

Overall, this is still one of the better games you will find of this genre, but if they would fix the inventory issue and give us more information on what we have to do to solve the puzzles, it would elevate it more.
