Far behind other document viewers

I understand that its digital rights protection is excellent, which is why publishers love it, but for us readers, this is a terrible, terrible app. Highlighting capabilities are from the early 2000s (you can’t highlight as if with a highlighting marker, for example), and you cannot even get the thing to zoom in at the page level and stay at that zoom setting. It treats content as one long scroll, basically.

Rubbish app from developers who don’t even respond politely to requests for more contemporary look and feel and capabilities.

Horrible

I understand the need for a locked file but this app is absolutely horrible for textbook to utilize. As students we like to highlight, annotate. This specific textbook no longer allows printed copies, and only utilizes this app. As a student, it’s a horrible option. I can’t properly study, annotate, highlight. With a 12.9 inch iPad it looks dated. This is not a reasonable option for readers. Any textbook company that utilizes this, cares more about profit then students attempting to learn.

Worthless garbage

The settings menu literally doesn’t do anything. Turn off show cover page? You still sit through a slow cover page animation every time you open the book. Set high quality rendering? You still get pixelated garbage photos that completely ruin the usefulness of a rock climbing guidebook. Horrible, horrible software.
