Mad as hll ,

Worse than handmade flashcards

Flashcards are popular, but these have no explanations at all for what they are. On top of that it says its a kanji learning app and the intro lessons are filled with made up names for japanese characters with wrong pronunciations for them. ハ is not fins, カ is not power. On the back side of number kanji the pronunciation is wildly incorrect, google translate is more correct than their answers.

Developer Response ,

Hi, I think you rated the wrong app?
The app doesn't have something like "intro lessons", and 八 (which I assume you mistook for ハ) is never translated as "fins". Also, カ (katakana for "ka") and 力 (chikara; "power", "force", "energy") are two different characters. If you want to verify the translation for 力 then you can check it in the built-in Apple Dictionary.
