At best this app deserved 3 stars when I started using the PurrClean litter box. It was functional, but clunky. Now it looks pretty, but isn’t functional. All the buttons work, but now I have 10x more alerts than I used to. I don’t need to know every time my cat walks in front of the box. But I would love to see his weight, which has disappeared from the new app. I would much prefer the clunky yet functional version than the ridiculous farce I get to deal with now. Yes, I can control the litter box from the app. That is the only reason it gets 2 stars. I might bump it back up to 3 when I can control what I get notified about and see my cat’s weight again.

I wish I had read the app reviews before purchasing this company’s products. Not only did they send me the wrong item (completely different, much cheaper water fountain than the one I bought; didn’t replace or reimburse me) the model I originally bought was suddenly “discontinued.” My first water fountain malfunctioned and broke after six months of use. Pet feeder randomly stopped working, notifications are rarely accurate, I have been trying to restore my feeder’s functions since January. I have been manually feeding my cat and having to pay for extra help taking care of her to make sure her feeder doesn’t randomly stop working when I’m out of town (more visits per day). The app randomly logs you out and stops notifying you—you won’t know what you don’t know. I used to be able to see my cat on video (although the main function for the product had stopped working at this point) but that no longer works either. IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET, CHOOSE RELIABLE PRODUCTS FROM ANOTHER COMPANY.

UPDATE March 2024: Whatever update occurred in the past few days has totally shut the app down! Cannot login, cannot do anything! Login page just spins then times out. It’s mind blowing and shameful that this scam company can get away with this. Buyer beware.

Original review: This app is a disaster. The only reason for two stars is because it seems to function properly, in that it feeds my cat when I tell it to (most of the time). Other than that, it’s a joke. Nothing is accurate. Example: the tracker says my cat’s been fed 200g of food today, but it’s actually been 20g… and all tracking metrics are similarly incorrect by being off by a zero or two. Or, it says my cat has been fed nothing, when it has actually been working correctly and feeding on time. The app is riddled with typos, and overall nothing about it makes me confident that my cat is being fed and being fed the correct amount. I just don’t understand how all of these errors survive update after update.
