Too many ads
I thought this app was really fun at first and better than whisper but all of a sudden the last couple days, I get on there and an add pops up immediately and when I exit out of that, I go to the chats and it’d another ad, then when I try to type out messages in the DM’s, it’s another ad. I can’t do anything for more than 2 second without an ad popping up. So unfortunately I have deleted the app :(
Has potential
Been using it a couple of weeks to get a feel for it before writing a review. I’ll start with the positives and then the things I think the creators can improve upon in future updates
✨I love that it has a fully functional block feature that means you won’t see posts or get new message threads from people you’ve blocked.
✨It allows you to keep receiving pics off until you want it so no random D pics in the DMs
✨Allows you to turn off seeing NSFW posts and mark posts as such
✨Has a feature that allows you to turn off DMs from posts
👎Costs social currency called Quids to activate the feature of turning off DMs (lower the cost maybe)
👎Popup ads regularly that take up the whole screen (could be improved by making the ads into small block sized ones that look like regular posts to the app except with the ad background)
👎Constantly brings your scrolling back to the top if you switch to say notifications or DMs or sometimes after an ad
Terrible
Just too many bugs. None of the switches work for settings, it crashes all the time, having an add pop up not only before entering the chat but to type too is absolutely over kill. I get you need ad revenue but you dont need an ad after every click you make on the app, might as well just say hey the free is unusable unless you wanna wait 15 seconds after every click. As for the settings switches i don't know what is up with that and its resulted in a ban warning for me. I go in the settings and flip on nsfw or push notifications they dont work, the app refreshes and its not how i saved it and i go to post with nsfw marked and then get told i never marked it, when i know i did.
