Description
Get real-time travel conditions in the Houston, Texas region with information directly from Houston TranStar and its partners. The app provides travelers with travel time and speed information from roadway sensors, weather impacts such as flooded and icy roadways, regional travel alerts, evacuation information, live traffic camera images, incident locations, and construction schedules to aid in trip planning.
About Houston TranStar – Houston TranStar is a unique partnership of representatives from the City of Houston, Harris County, Houston METRO, and the Texas Department of Transportation who share resources and exchange information under one roof to keep motorists informed of travel conditions and keep roadways clear and lives safe in the fourth most populated city in the United States. Established in 1993, TranStar manages the region’s transportation system and is the primary coordination site for state, county, and local agencies when responding to incidents and emergencies.

Thank you for your continued support and patience. In this update, we’re addressing the following:
- Numerous bug fixes
- Increased the size of the camera image from the map page to make it easier to see and given more detail on the cameras location by adding the road name with the nearest street
- To make it easier to request a tow we've isolated the tow icon so it doesn't get lost among the others

An absolute MUST HAVE if you drive in Houston!
This is a reliable way to get an overview of traffic delays all over Houston. They post incidents almost immediately after they happen (not always the case with other navigation apps), and they inform you which lanes are affected. App makes it easy to check the incident & construction maps before you leave for your destination so you can quickly plan your route. An absolute MUST HAVE APP if you drive in Houston - especially with the upcoming major freeway interchange closures scheduled for 2019. Props to developers and those at TranStar who make sure it continues to work. Thank You!
Latest update is unusable
Latest update has made app unusable. It immediately requests two permissions but the graphics are so jacked up I can only click on one. I have also noticed the previous version no longer had information for most of the roads I use.

Thanks for the details on the page not fully showing. We'll get an update out shortly to fix this so phones with smaller screens/large text can see the full page. UPDATE. This was fixed in version 2.0.3. Please update.
The previous was much better.
This app doesn’t have the rain map, I don’t like this at all.

Hello. We do in fact have the doppler radar displayed on the map. If you open Map Layers, it is the icon in the upper right that looks like papers stacked on each other, the third icon at the top says Weather. If you tap it and close the Map Layers window, it'll then show the doppler radar.
