HOT97 OFFICIAL 4+

This app is garbage. I barely get to listen to segments or music due to the advertisements starting whenever they want. The advertisements even starts during on air advertising. The advertising starts every time I use car play and play a text message. If I connect to a new output advertising starts. The advertisements start if I turn an alarm off. I seldom hear a full segment or song for that matter. The app literally just quits at random at least twice a day. I paid for this app before all the other radio apps came onto market which is the only reason I still have it. Being the flagship station for hip hop it’s the worst radio app I’ve ever experienced.

In my limited use the Hot 97 application is useful but is in need of much improvement. The app while easy to navigate could use an overhaul to the plain dreary dark background. One big problem is how sluggish the app seems to be when loading content. I think the app could also be used as a time portal to young listeners today when the radio station was at its peak in the 90’s and early 2000’s. An archive section with classic interviews and personalities from the past such as Funkmaster Flex, Angie Martinez and Star and Buc Wild could be nostalgic to those who are my age and grew up with the station and entertaining to those who did not.

I love this new App they came out with! It is an easy platform that allows me to find out about new issues going on in the hip hop world without having to go through different websites or blogs. You get the best of both worlds from the west coast and the east
Coast. It's super easy to manage through and understand! I would definitely recommend for people to download it! Especially if you're not staying in the LA/NY area, it makes it an easy access to see what's going on!
