There are a lot of features talked about however they seem to be in the coming soon stage. The mat wears out quick and more than half the time the swings are not registering. 5 seconds to go from pushing “hit shot” then getting yourself in a hitting position is not at all enough time as the recoding starts and you have to rush everything. Again, it does not register your swing as it has timed out. When you are 20 yards from the green it is nearly impossible to get on the green as it either does not read your shot or it thinks you took a full swing and it goes 50 yards.

Contacted support about all the unregistered swings and got what seems to be an automated AI response with details on how to set up the phone and the mat.

I bought this for my dad because he has been really getting into golf. I was so excited because I had seen the massive marketing campaign that Golf Daddy has been running, showcasing a cool experience for an affordable price. Now, I realize why an at-home golf simulator can be so cheap—IT DOESN’T WORK

The setup comes with no real instructions, forcing you to take a shot, move the mat, try to align the camera correctly, and repeat the process over and over. After hours of effort, we finally got it perfectly aligned, and, as you might have guessed, it still wouldn’t read the shot. We spent two hours attempting this on multiple devices, downloading and redownloading the app, and didn’t get a single shot to register.

The app itself looks like they hired a developer on Fiverr to create it—it’s poorly designed and crashes constantly. Overall, this was a complete waste of money and, in my opinion, false advertising. This product is a complete scam, preying on the hope that people won’t go through the hassle of returning it. GOLF DADDY RUINED CHRISTMAS!!!

Absolutely horrible user experience. It’s basically just a glorified swing path mat. The app crashes constantly. You need a a ton of room to move the camera so far away you can’t even see your phone anymore. You can’t chromecast it. You can’t play 2 player. The shots are WILDLY inconsistent and horribly inaccurate. It gives you 30 seconds to set up the mat where it needs to be before it goes into the game, so you have to exit out and restart as many times as it takes to get it where it should be. There’s only one golf course. It restricts club use if you’re on a par four and forces you to lay up at 189 yards. The voice commands hardly work, and you have approximately 3-5 seconds to swing after the non-audible countdown. I don’t think they could have done a worse job with this product. I will be returning this 100%. They should work with GolfFix and use their swing analytics and make this an actually usable product. For now, it’s just another gimmick for the kids.
