Ratings and Reviews
Good App, but Needs a Little Work
This app is generally good, but I have two complaints. 1. I am nervous about looking at pictures of birds in this app because two different times I was looking at pictures of a bird and a picture of a dead bird with its head missing showed up in the list of photos. This is the main reason why I’m giving this app four stars instead of five. I sent an email to the developer complaining about this issue, but he never responded. 2. The list of birds that have been seen in the morning generally doesn’t show up until 11 a.m., so if I check the app at 8. a.m., and someone saw a bird at 7 a.m. that I might want to go see, I can’t go see the bird, because it doesn’t show up. This problem normally isn’t frustrating for me, but it gets frustrating when the bird is a rare one or an owl. Overall, I would recommend it, just make sure you don’t look at the pictures!
Lost functionality
Used to work well, now locations do not appear, so it has lost much of its functionality. No hot spots, no links to locations where birds have been seen. I tried downloading again, but it still doesn’t work. Very disappointing.
It’s back and better than ever
Not that it ever went away but I was becoming concerned that this app had entered the abandonverse. Thankfully that’s not happening with this new update. This continues to be a beautiful birding app. I highly recommend it.
Developer Response ,
Thanks for the feedback and sorry about that hiccup. It's been fixed for a while now and I hope you'll give it another chance.
