The perfect app for anyone serious about guitar!

I recently started taking lessons on music theory and how it applies to guitar and this app has been an invaluable resource! While working on alternative voicings of chords in the jazz standard “Autumn Leaves”, it helped me see how to build a chord around where the melody lands, making it sound better while being easier to play. I’ve also used it for music theory homework, mapping the exercises to the fretboard. This has allowed me to more easily see associations that are helping me improve my technique.

All and all a great app and a must have for anyone serious about guitar!

Fantastic (at least on iPad). GET THIS APP!

The user interface is easy, smooth, and intuitive.

It’s easy to find one note (like ‘A’), or any chord triad (three notes making up a chord) across the entire fretboard.

It will show any scale (major, minor, pentatonics) scale across the fretboard. Push left or right arrows to see individual note combos.

The only two improvements I could think of…
1. Mark the root, 3rd, 4th, and 5th notes with a symbol, color, or numerals like I, ii, iii, IV, V.

That would take scales and inversions to the next level!

2. Toggle between flat (b) and sharp (#) for notes.
It’s weird seeing ‘Bb’ in the ‘A’ major triads 😱
