I like this app because because I get push alerts for local stories and the way the articles are written make it really easy to read. I wish the live streaming would keep playing while I go to other apps or texts, but the streaming is otherwise really high quality.

Major issues for people who use voiceover on iOS
There are several issues for people who rely on the voiceover screen reader on iOS. One the buttons to choose, the city are not labeled so all it says for VoiceOver users are button button button button for each label. It just says button. It should say, Chicago Atlanta, Detroit, etc. Also, Voice will start speaking in the middle of a story playing back example watching a video on a story. Third there is no back button for voice over users. I submitted a review with the voiceover guide. You should follow the Apple developer documentation on making your app access accessible for voiceover users. In 2025 there is no reason your option should not be fully accessible for all users!

How is this new app an improvement???
The soon to be discontinued Fox5 DC app has one great feature over the new app Fox local app that is going to replace it.
If I need to watch Fox5 news on my iPad, it is easy because it is available in landscape mode. I can just set my iPad, in its case, on the counter, table, etc., and watch/listen to the news. They seem to have taken the landscape mode away with this new Fox Local app that is going to replace it.
If I want to switch over to the new app, I have to stand my iPad, in its case, on the short end, and hope it does not tip over. Just great - the lack of landscape mode is all I need to switch to the other local stations that have their news/shows available in Landscape mode with my iPad. I don’t need to worry about the iPad tipping over and getting damaged because it’s in Landscape mode.
This new app is a huge joke with the lack of Landscape mode.
