Promising but Needs Improvemen

I think the concept behind Fluyu is great, but unfortunately, it’s poorly executed. I appreciate features like the voiced transcripts, similar to Pimsleur, and the active quizzing after lessons—it’s a good way to reinforce what you’ve learned. However, there are some major drawbacks. The app constantly nags you to upgrade after each lesson, which gets frustrating, especially given how buggy the platform is. The battles are also painfully slow, and the items used to decorate the dolphins feel pointless. If these items boosted stats, it might actually make them worth paying for.
To improve the experience, I’d suggest adding features like podcasts, a friend-pairing system or reminders similar to Duolingo, and more opportunities to earn coins through battles. Giving users an alternative to microtransactions would make the app more accessible and enjoyable. Overall, Fluyu has potential, but it needs significant updates and polish before I can fully recommend it.

Going in the Right Direction

This app is off to a strong start. I am currently learning French with Fluyo and it reminds me of Lingo Legend - where it is a turn-based RPG style of play. The customizability is a nice touch and the music sets a nice feel. However, there are a few things that I have noticed that perhaps need addressing: -The mini-games like Bomb Royale and Recall Master have freezing issues that force me to exit the game and take a loss -During the learning words/phrases aspect of the game, sometimes the fill-in-the-blank portion is already completed - already providing me with the correct answer which defeats the purpose -For French at least, the Wayfinder lessons do not seem to be active (I have not, however, completed the campaign yet.) From what I’ve read, the Wayfinder lessons seem to add a richness and practicality to the game that I am currently missing out on -Name capitalization is not consistent across different aspects of the game. The first letter of my name would be capitalized on the Home Screen/Profile, but not the mini games -An easier to access review tab that is easily visible and can act like “combat training” for my dolphin. A variety of exercises can be used like spelling (like online Spelling-Bees), correct gender of words, grammar, sentence structure, even AI speech recognition for pronunciation I really want this app to succeed and I feel it is in course to do so. It just requires big fixes, updates and time.

Starts out good but takes a sharp turn down the wrong road

Starting this app was fantastic I started learning Japanese much better then any other app by learning it like a child learns English by starting with the alphabet symbol by symbol seeing tricks like tsu looking like a wave like a tsunami and learning how to sound words out and build them but randomly it started showing symbols in battles I haven’t seen before rather then showing ones from that lesson and previous ones. But that was fine I just guessed got them wrong and continued. But then I started getting entire sentences using many symbols I hadn’t even seen before and battles stopped asking for 3 questions for an action so I would try to boost and get asked to select the list of symbols that matched the 10-15 word sentence meanwhile I’m just learning the symbol for su. Also a major problem with the app is the voices, it will “say” a word or symbol and you will get no audio so you will have to press the word 5+ times until it speaks even half the word and sometimes the female voice or the male voice just won’t speak so you’ll press it and only the male voice will speak and the second time you press it there will be no voice. This makes it a guessing game on some questions because you can’t hear the word to build it. Overall I’ve learned much more then I have on other apps but that doesn’t help when I can’t progress.
