Flashcards Deluxe is an easy to use, yet powerful flashcard app which you can use to study just about anything you want. I use this app for my own Chinese studies, and am constantly improving it to make it better for myself and others.

You can create flashcards either on your computer or directly within the app. If you don't want to make your own, you can browse and download flashcards from the app's Shared Library.
Creating cards on your computer is an easy process of making a two column list of questions and answers in a text editor or spreadsheet, copy/pasting your list into our website, and then downloading it to your device. You can also transfer flashcards using Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Docs, or even your own web server.

Thank you for not subscription
I haven’t even used this app yet but just for the sole reason that there’s only a one-time payment, I’m going to give it 5 stars. This subscription frenzy needs to end. Apps like this should never ever make you pay for a subscription. The only way these companies will stop charging us subscriptions is if we stop paying for them.
Edit: well I used it for a few minutes and already found a problem and had to change my rating. I got this app specifically to make cards for computer coding. For example, I need a card that says <a> on one side and then has the definition for that symbol on the other side. However, when you put a word anything inside of those symbols, it won’t appear on the card. Please fix this.

Hi. HTML is used to format the card. But there is a setting you can use to turn this off. Swipe left on the deck and tap edit. Tap advanced. See the setting “don’t parse HTML” and turn off. This should solve your problem.
Can’t get much better
First review I’ve ever written because I felt it was appropriate due to the excellent app the developer/s has/have created. It offers everything I could ask for in a flashcard app, including options to enable advanced mnemonic methods. It has exhaustive help documentation for every section and option that can be selected or configured. And it is bucking the disgusting trend to publish apps as a subscription and instead is offered as a pay-once purchase for a very reasonable/low price. The only very, very minor gripe I would have is that the interface can be a little confusing because there are a lot of sections/views to navigate into and a lot of settings and configuration options. However, this is mitigated by the excellent help documentation available in every view that explains every setting and option. Highly recommended all around.
Nearly perfect
This is without a doubt the best flash card app u could dream off. And so I'll make one criticism in the hope that this awesome developer will implement it. The easiest way to make cards is to simply capture photos from pdf viewers/editors/annotators of class slides/texts etc. A very effective card can be made by simple image capture of class powerpoint slide (side 2) and a corresponding image capture of this slide that has been annotated/edited to hide the pertinent information (side 1). This is quick and easy and effective. HOWEVER.. doing this through the app is NOT STREAMLINED. One should be able to go right back to the same spot in photos to grab the next photo for side 2. Just make it so u go straight back to the last slide u added instead of having to go all the way back through the photo album for gods sake!! ;) Sorry to crack out. Fantastic app anyway!!
