ABOUT FIRMAMENT
Firmament is a new puzzle-adventure game by the legendary game studio behind the best-selling games Myst and Riven. Featuring deep storytelling and world-building, discover the story of this seemingly abandoned world as you explore and unlock the mysteries of 3 unique Realms… and beyond!

EXPLORE THE WORLD
Featuring a unique steampunk aesthetic, Firmament invites you to explore the legendary deep world-building Cyan Worlds is known for. Firmament is a fantastic visual feast, with thrilling new sights to see around every corner. At the same time, the world of Firmament feels completely plausible; as though it were constructed with a bigger purpose in mind… A purpose you will be compelled to discover as you play.

SOLVE THE PUZZLES
You carry with you a device called an “Adjunct” as you explore. This Adjunct is your interface as you interact with the various devices throughout the Realms of Firmament. Employing the Adjunct to solve the puzzles you encounter will bring you ever closer to unlocking the secrets this place holds.

DISCOVER THE STORY
You are not entirely alone in Firmament. In addition to The Adjunct, you are joined by a mysterious apparition, who has a story of her own to share with you. As you explore you will be introduced to 3 Realms - each with secrets and mysteries to reveal. What purpose do the Realms serve? Can the spirit who accompanies you be trusted?

REVEAL THE MYSTERY
Are the realms of Firmament abandoned? What are these giant, mysterious machines scattered throughout the world? What is their purpose? What part do you play in this grand mystery? Explore, Discover, Solve, and Reveal the mystery for yourself by playing Firmament!

Editors’ Notes

Unlock the secrets of enigmatic machinery with a steampunk gauntlet in this first-person puzzler. We especially enjoyed the companionship of a chatty ghost along the way.

Loved the game, but a couple tweaks

I have always enjoyed Cyan games The myst series and Obduction. This game falls into line with those. Running on an M1 max with 32gb RAM and graphics setting as high as they would do produces some real amazing landscapes. Found myself pausing just to admire the creativity of the worlds. I am an adventure puzzler lover so this is perfect. The controls are pretty good, better with a mouse then trackpad. I agree with the glitch of falling into the game and getting trapped....had to find on line that you could go to settings and teleport to a safe spot which was at least and out to this weird phenomenon in the game...should be fixed or the teleport should be more obvious within the game interface and not hidden in the settings. Nice balance of puzzles...got some pretty quick and others were challenging to get through. None impossible for sure. Overall liked the story line but there could be more there I think...more interaction and unraveling of a mystery. Interactions could also be more varied then using the hand controller for literally everything in the game. Overall though I very much enjoyed playing and hope Cyan continues to support the Mac platform and bring their art and unique games to the mac. Thanks!

Nov 2024 upgrade fixed bugs

Plays well and has good puzzles - I enjoyed this game now that is was fixed on MAC. Allows use of play station controller. Original review below: Risks system integrity - so sad
This would have been fun had it beed properly tested and debugged!
Puzzles are educational and based on real world challenges.
Graphics are great and I seem to be spending my time working out the challenges not just moving around like Mist. There seems to be no need to waste time just trying to click on things as the controls are easy to spot, except on the crane; just look a little closer.

I found it easy to crash the game if don't carefully position myself in the pods. Standing near the door or control can be bad. I wish it had more save slots.
