I'm really enjoying this app!
This app is straightforward, functional, uncomplicated, and FREE! It does exactly what it says it will do and there are no ads. I have a complicated history with calorie and food tracking so when I downloaded this I was a tad bit concerned it would trigger disordered food and eating behaviors but it just didn't. It's kind of fun to track how many plant foods I am eating in a day and I was pleasantly surprised at how easily I get to 10 per day and 30 per week. I'm really glad there's no weight loss content on this app and no emphasis on the quantity of each plant food. I log spinach whether I'm eating a few leaves on a sandwich or a big bowl of spinach salad. This is a rare app that feels like it was developed by someone who is passionate about something and hopes to help others. I hope this app stays straightforward and unfussy.
Plant biodiversity tracker - it’s like bingo!
I’m someone who has major gut health issues. I’m always drawn to information about gut microbiome health. But I find it hard to maintain unless I keep a written journal of my weekly plant intake. This app makes it easy and takes my tracking to the next level. It’s easy, target x10 plant species per day and x30 per week. My only critique would be to add a tracker for the various buckets of plants, since you shouldn’t necessarily eat all fruit (let’s say). Veggies, fruit, legumes, aromatics, and sulforaphanes.

Helpful app
I find this app really helpful. It becomes a game to see if I can get enough plants. I don’t love that beans and oats aren’t on here but I’m guessing they consider those more starch than traditional al plants. I no longer have cravings. I used to think I had an addiction to refined carbs but apparently I just hadn’t gotten enough fiber. I have a bunch of Thin Mints in the house and I’ll eat half of fun every few days instead of eating a whole sleeve plus crackers, etc all day. The weight is slowly coming off and I feel I’m doing it in a healthy, sustainable way.
