EKG Updater 4+

This worked only after I spent a long time trying to connect thru the Fellow app (which counterintuitively) only works with their Aiden coffee maker. But the Stagg’s product registration workflow led me to that app which, trust me, will not allow you to connect your Stagg Pro.

So if you have a Stagg, use this EKG Updater app and you should be fine. You might have to temporarily set your Wifi to 2.4GHz, which took a minute to figure out. Fortunately I have eero which makes that pretty easy.

Regardless, if you are having problems pairing your phone with the Stagg, you are not the problem. This app is not a no-brainer.

Functioned exactly as the developers said it would. I have no idea why someone could possibly claim they have the grounds to give a one star.

Besides, if you can afford the high price tag of the Pro version, be thankful you can at least do that. Let alone the beans, the grinder, the dripper, the filters, the flask, the amount of time and energy it takes farmers to pick coffee cherries in the hot sun to support themselves, their familes, friends, community. Not to mention the entire, global supply chain beans have to go through just so you can drink a nice coffee from the comfort of your residence. And that is just for coffee, tack on tea. But nah, let's complain about an app that you honestly don't even need in the first place. It's just a kettle... A kettle with any app is an app too many.

Everyone needs to chill out with their dramatic reviews of this app. This app does ONE thing which is to facilitate the software update of the firmware. It takes time. It took me overnight for the app to reflect that the kettle updated. No big deal because the kettle had the same functionality before the update as after the update.

If this app was needed for remote functioning of the kettle, and that wasn’t working right away, sure that would be frustrating, but that’s not the case. You use and program the kettle only on the kettle.

So my advice to everyone is just tell the app to update the kettle and walk away. It’ll update eventually and doesn’t need the update right away for you to have full functionality of the kettle.
