Description
EarTester is a free companion application to EarMan. It tests your ear training skills at a proficiency level achieved when completing the EarMan curriculum. Intervals are automatically replayed when a wrong guess is made and are sounded together with a maximum range of 6 octaves. In addition the replay button in the toolbar can be used. EarMan considers 80% as a passing grade, but you might want to aim higher. EarTester uses the same high quality samples that are used in EarMan and also displays intervals in music notation.
Ear training skills are not static. Even after having completed the EarMan curriculum it is a good idea to challenge yourself from time to time to see whether it is advisable to have another go at it. EarTester can also be used in conjunction with EarMan to simply gauge the progress that is being made or maybe just to evaluate your skill level in general. The main point is to keep your skills up. If you do a quick session on EarTester and find yourself anywhere near the 80% region, it is high time to get back to practicing. The good news is that like a well-maintained body, your ears will get back to their usual selves faster every time.

Ratings and Reviews
Its Garage;
No útil, no good , do not work.
App sounds harmonic interval at too extreem a range to be useful.
The intervals the application plays for identification by the listener are excessively far appart on the musical scale spanning far greater than an octave or more; this makes the interval between the lower note and the higher note too difficult to recognize, especially for a begining ear training application. Go ahead and give it a try but don't let your ear training efforts be discouraged if you can't easily recognize the intervals produced by this application. The visual user interface is pretty straight forward and easy to understand but for this application to be useful the listener should be afforded some degree of control over the octave range and sample used to sound the intervals. It would also be benefitial to be able to have a mode to test interval recognition melodicly as well as harmonicly. As is this application is more iritating than useful.
Good blueprints, ...Bad realestate!
I love this idea. Being a musician I can't over emphasize the importance of ear training. However I wish this app. had more intruction. Insruction on ear traing and on HOW to use this app. I'm tired of trying to figure out how this works. If I have to go to the support page its not worth it (..in my opinion).Keep tryin'!
