Great app, HORRIBLE Controls. Please Fix this!
I would I've this app 5 stars for being the most beautiful and detailed dream journal I've ever used.
However, there are some major usage problems that need to be fixed:
1) Auto Logout- if I'm waking up in the middle of the night and trying to write down every detail of my dream before I forget, having to remember my password and logging in again takes away from that.
2) Keyboard gets stuck/will not scroll/no auto-save
It's happened many times already. I'll type out the entire dream and have to continue to scroll down to answer other questions about the dream before hitting save at the bottom. However, the keyboard will not retract and scrolling down will not get you anywhere. There's no "next" button and when you click anywhere else to get rid of the keyboard the page will go back and delete everything you just wrote.
I will continue using this app because it is the most useful in dream tracking, but please fix these bugs and add more emotion options.
😓Great until > Lost dreams & Locked out
Two years later ... buggy. Cannot sign in. I keep the Apo in yoff chance those many dreams were recoverable. Or they’d fix the app. Not yet. Sorry. It was a worthy app. Cannot get through a login without freezing screen.
ERROR 500 has replaced what seemed a worthy dream app. I regret to have recommended it's use while it was working, as I'm seeing I am not the only one to whom this has happened. Where are our dreams?? Are they gone?? Before, I loved how easy it was to note dreams. The dark screen was good for nighttime writing. The mood options were simple but an intriguing touch. Tracking appeared to promise interesting insights ... Until one night I awoke hoping to note a dream and found myself not signed in. I tried to log in, used password recovery several times, expecting to receive some way back in to access my dreams ... Have been retrying several times this week and keep getting ERROR 500. I wish there were a way to access the dreams I put into this journal, as they are part of extended study. Big disappointment.
Good, but can be better
After a week, I find myself liking this app. At the least, it's helping me focus on remembering and recording my dreams. My major complaint is that it doesn't work seamlessly with an iPad keyboard, and using the built-in keyboard is tedious and time-consuming. The screen doesn't rotate either (unless I'm missing something), making it all the more awkward. I've had to re-write a couple of entries that I lost when moving from the narrative section to another (it might have been my unfamiliarity, but it certainly isn't as intuitive as I would have liked). I'd also like to see it better integrated with the iPad's text functions, such as automatically capitalizing the first letter of a sentence and "I", and perhaps the predictive spelling.
I can see it's a work in progress, and I'm okay with the idiosyncrasies for now as I can see the potential. I hope that it continues to improve.
