Really fun point and click adventure!

I really enjoyed this game a lot. I love the retro graphics, the story was interesting and engaging, the puzzles were all story related and logical, challenging but not impossible, the characters were unique and interesting, and the entire game was superbly voice acted. It reminded me a bit of Kathy Rain or Technobabylon. I had a few freezing issues, it only happened if I tried to click on something else during dialogue. But just closing the game and opening it again fixed it with no progress lost. It was a good length for the price though I wanted it to be longer just because I wanted to keep playing :) Look forward to more games from this dev.

The retro-futuristic point & click tribute you didn’t know you needed!

I’m surprised this game hasn’t garnered more attention up to now. Getting a point & click adventure right for mobile/iPad can be a daunting task, and Drawn Down gets so many things right. Love the throwback art style mixed with the storyline that reminds me of so many of those “used future” noirs I grew up enjoying. The puzzles are logical and relevant to the context of the scenes (not just puzzles for the sake of cramming in puzzles, and some are pretty humorous) and the game feels like just the right length for the money.

Some may argue that there’s limited replay value with only so many story branches and only a certain number of areas to explore, but I think it makes the game on the first run-through more lean that way. Plus there’s dev commentary you can toggle on/off to learn more about the behind-the-scenes after your first play-through (there are spoilers in the commentary, so keeping it off on your first play is recommended).

What also really shines in the game is the dialogue and the sound design. And a killer soundtrack! All in all, a great experience and definitely worth playing if you’re into games like Gemini Rue, Darkside Detective, The Last Door, etc.

Needs an update

Giving this game 4 stars because I loved the pc version and just had to immediately download it on the iPhone when I saw it in the App Store. However, no matter what I try to do, I can’t get the game to progress past the opening scene where the character wants to buy some wine. The game freezes and won’t progress. I’m unable to skip the scene or drag any items. I’m on an iPhone 12 Pro Max on iOS 15, though it was happening on iOS 14 as well. Once there’s an update that allows me to continue, I’ll gladly give this game 5 stars
