Description
Welcome to a new app experience, we have optimized our app and giving it a facelift! This faster iOS native app now has the following new features:
Your News:
- Provide personalized recommendations for content based on user preferences.
Users will be allowed to customize the content they want to engage with by selecting the topics they are truly interested in
By going to the “Your News” tab the user can bypass the noise of all that is published and home in on the content they want
Saved Articles:
- Save feature that allows users to save articles or other content they are interested in for later reading or reference
Push notifications will remind users to read their saved articles or suggest related content
Custom Push Notifications:
- The user can select what topics they want to be notified about which makes for a much less intrusive experience.
Top Navigation Bar:
- A top navigation bar lets the user switch between sections by swiping or tapping.
Enews in-app:
- Desire the newspaper experience? No need to open a separate app!
By simply going to Settings and selecting E-News the user can browse the Digital Replica of the day’s paper.
Offline Reading:
- This feature allows users to enable offline reading from Settings.
Offline “Reading Preferences” can also be customized for Settings.
Swipe Left:
- Instead of going back to the main section to find more articles, users have the option to simply swipe, immediately opening other articles in the Section.
Follow Topics:
- A user will be shown articles on topics they are following.
To follow select follow at the article level and related articles will gain relevancy and be shown more frequently.
Just as easily “Unfollow”

Ratings and Reviews
The new update is amazing!
The app has improved by leaps and bounds. Much more user friendly and accessible. Really impressed with the changes.
Amateur Hour
Progressive bias, too much East Coast left wing blather.
Local writing is lazy and too much opinion in what is supposed to be news.
Most important is incomplete news- take the auto theft at DIA story on the 24 rth. We know nothing except some arrest were made. No who,, no why, very little how. Everyone wants to know, who are the people who are terrorizing out city? The Denver Post and the Police know but don’t say. So really, what is the point of existing as a newspaper.
One more thing, curtailing comments on articles was the biggest cowardly act by your newsroom. In many cases, local people who knew what really happened filled in the parts of the story that you either omitted for political purposes or were just to lazy to ask questions and find out. You are a shame and disgrace to news reporting.
Please do your job and and inform accurately so the rest of us can decide. Is that too much to ask?
How many times a week are you “updating” the app?!?
I’m a paying subscriber and over the past month I’ve frequently found I can’t access the app at all b/c Denver Post INSISTS I update the app. I’ve updated twice this month and again it’s blocking me and demanding another update. Look, I’ll update an app infrequently unless that app has sensitive, personal, or financial info in it. There’s no possible way these REQUIRED updates are necessary for my security- your devs just like limiting users’ abilities unless we let you be controlling like this. It’s a nuisance and there’s nothing in it for me. Based on other reviews, it sounds like yodoing this in order to serve me ads — even though I’m a paying subscriber. Nasty.
