DDHeroes - Dragon Dungeon Hero 4+

Very Nice Recreation of HoMM2

My personal favorite in the HoMM series was #2. Most people preferred #3 but I always thought #2 had just the right balance and complexity to allow for highly strategic play without being overly complicated. This recreation is fairly faithful to the original, although they used almost entirely different graphics and music, etc. some sprites and sound effects are re-used. The main issues I have with it are that you cannot split groups of enemies (vital for serious play in the original) and the overall feel is quite a bit less fluid and whimsical. Still, I think it’s a very enjoyable port and a fun game on its own right.

To support splitting a troop, would you please try to long press it then move to an empty slot? A dialog will pop to ask how many monsters to split.

great game

I have tried many games by this developer. BC 4000, 83,000, BT fields, among others. I find this is my favorite and probably the one I go to most often. Maybe someday I'll be able to play the others and enjoy them as much. but this one I hope will stay around and grow for a long time to come. It works with voiceover very well. The most frustrating thing about these games is remembering the map and where you are. This isn't necessarily a problem if you have a photographic mind it works pretty easily. But you still gotta navigate the map and know exactly where you are. and that's a little discouraging sometimes. And remembering where you are. Even though I do look at the character in full or item info to see where it's at. But that always doesn't click with me totally right. This is not the developer's fault. It's just the way my mind works. But I really enjoy this game and I hope it continues to be updated and played. Thank you.

I can't actually play this yet but very much want to

As a totally blind player, I rate this game 4 stars if only because, while I am confident the developer has done good work, I can't actually play it yet myself. I have had previous experience with other titles, and am certain he has relished the same attention to detail here as to, for instance, BC 4000. I very much look forward to the day I will be able to enjoy this as well.
