Good News

Seems like a pun but yes, good news. I am a US citizen and the Canadian news is refreshing. There seems to be a reduced agenda hiding behind the scenes, yet still visible. Unlike CNN, FOX, etc. in the United States the political agenda rears it’s ugly head in each and every disgusting broadcast. I cannot watch your reports all the time because I still need local news as well. I may possibly become a Canadian citizen over the next year for relationship reasons so until then I look forward to viewing your newsfeeds from my side of the border :-). Thanks.

User experience takes the back seat...

Another great example of what happens when user experience and user-centric design takes the back seat (or gets stuffed in the trunk)... not understanding how your users actually navigate and engage with your app = loss of trust and loss of users.

In the old version the navigation was relatively straightforward... you could add or remove (and reorder) news categories... the interface was consistent... there was a non-standard (but still usable) option to share articles (no idea why the standardized iOS sharing interface wasn’t adopted)... and all that has been thrown away in this new version.

Top news is now almost entirety dominated by videos (which I assume is to try to increase ad revenue)... the previous categories are now under ‘News’ and require scrolling up... and down... and up... and down... no option to sort or reorder them... while the ‘Local’ news is now its own section and you scroll left and right to move between locales...?! Did you app designers and developers work in two separate silos?!

Bottom line... great example of an app that was decent and user friendly falling victim to corporate greed and the pursuit of revenue at the expense of users... lemme tell you what is more expensive... NO USERS!! ...nicely done Bell Media!

tired of waiting in Alberta ,

Why

Why is this Liberal Prime Minister not full filling his own promises. I’m 78 and handicapped . I have filled out my income tax returns for 59 years, never been in jail. I live on my social security and old age pensions, get a GST rebait and also get a little rent from my only investment.
I’m sure I was told that because I filed an income tax Return I didn’t have to fill out an application for assistance. I’m still waiting for the money
