Neat trick: The app scours your transactions to uncover recurring charges you might be overlooking.
Pays for itself fast
A Beautiful, fast, and almost addictive app for getting your spending and budgets under control. We found recurring charges we had missed, so the app paid for itself in the first week. We have too many credit cards, and this really helps make sense of it all. Surprised at how fully featured the mobile app is as well. Airplay mirrored to the TV to show the family how we are spending too much in certain areas - this will make it possible to actually reign in spending (if anything can). Can’t wait to see what they add next. Hoping for a way for family to have their own log-ins with permissions set by the account owner, so they can see (in read-only mode) how we are tracking each week.
Good for single people with simple finances
The app basically tags your spending into different categories, and is good at it, but is light on keeping track of your budget vs actual spending. That isn’t to say it lacks those feature, but if you’re used to Quicken or Mint or any of the legacy budgeting apps, its budget analysis features are limited. If you’re single and have simple finances what they have is probably enough. The other thing that’s missing is support for joint accounts for couples to work together on shared expenses. The workaround requires two separate CoPilot subscriptions, one for her, and one for me, which is twice the work and twice the cost as we both end up having to categorize joint transactions. That being said, the functionality that is there works well once you get past some of the quirky UI behavior, and support does eventually get back to you.
