Black Borders When Using Apple Vision Pro Mac Virtual Screen

Overall, the experience is quite good, and the latency is impressively low. However, I hope more screen aspect ratios can be added in future updates. It would be great to have support for Mac virtual screens on Apple Vision Pro with options like widescreen (21:9) and ultrawide (32:9).

Developer Response ,

Thanks for your feedback. Version 16.1 add widescreen (21:9) and ultrawide (32:9) support.

Best solution for playing Xbox on Mac

I really wanted a great solution to play my Xbox on my Apple Studio Display, but the best hardware solution I could find only allowed max 1080p resolution and no sound. It seemed like a 4k capture card was my only solution.

When I tried to look for a good software for playback, OBS worked but it was too bloated and Quicktime wouldn't do 4k.

I found out about Console Link on Reddit and give it a try. It worked amazingly! I encountered an issue that caused it to intermittently freeze during playback, however, I reached out to the developer and he worked with me promptly to identify and resolve issue.

Overall, Console Link is the best solution out there that offers great playback at a great resolution without the bloat of all the extra unnecessary features when you just want to play your game on your Mac or iPad.

Thanks for your feedback. A low-latency mode has been added.

Simply the best solution for HDMI inputs

If you need this fairly niche app, it’s the best in its class. You want to use your PlayStation, Xbox or whatever on your iMac / Studio Display, without a Frankensteinian chain of adapters and weird converters? Here you go. Quality is good and latency is indeed far, far lower than OBS, Quick Camera, etc. I’m using it with an Elgato 4K X and things are quite playable, even shooters.
