Clear Spaces 4+

This app does exactly what it says on the tin. The background lines up perfectly for me. The widget customization options are few and fairly simple. It would be cool to have more variety to choose from, but I downloaded this app called “clear spaces” for the clear spaces, and those are solid.

The export widget background feature is great if you wanna use other custom widget apps, though having to save each individual widget background to your phone then opening a new app and uploading these individually is a chore. But that’s not the app’s fault, it’s Apple’s and their archaic widget programming which makes all widgets essentially useless anyway.

One last thing: the custom text feature only lets me type in one message into the app, which then repeats itself across all custom text widgets instead of letting me choose a different message for each individual widget. This is so hilariously useless and should be corrected.

All I can say is WOW!! I have used this app for quite some time and it works beautifully! I customize my Home Screen and Focus mode options and this app is used heavily to make transparent spaces. They also have the ability to set multiple spaces which are easily changed for different Focus modes! I noticed that in iOS 17, the app wasn’t working the way it should. The “Default” text screen viewing option in iOS Settings was working, but not the “Larger Text” option in the Settings > Display & Brightness > Display Zoom > Larger Text. I really love the “Larger Text” option for my phone. I reached out to the developer on X (formerly twitter) and they responded so quickly and we went back and forth. Very personable company, customer service appears to be a focus! It means a lot when a company truly listens to their customers and audience, this is not generally the case anymore, it’s rare to find. Everything was fixed in a matter of hours!! An update came to the App Store just like they said in a matter of 30 minutes! Thank you so much Clear Spaces for all you do and for how personal you are! My iPhone is great, but a personalized iPhone is 100 times better!! If you do any customizations for your device… DOWNLOAD… this app is awesome!!!

I’ve been using this app for many months now, and really enjoy the clean look. I haven’t really had any problem setting it up or getting it to work properly at all.

That said, the weather widget does not update on its own. I have to force it to update by going into edit mode, then widget gallery, then exit back out. That gets the widget to update to the proper weather. Otherwise it just sits on my screen with old icon and temperature. I wish this would get fixed. It’s been happening for some time now…
