I use this platform to teach English classes. It does very well overall. It would be great if there were a faster way to turn off and on a students camera in case of obscene gestures from young students. Also, support for gif files and a sound effects sound board would really help make the classes more versatile and fun. Even a limited number of sound board options would be great. Like 6 or so.

If it were up to me, I would have deleted ClassIn and cut all ties with them ages ago but, alas, I use it because I have to. The app can’t get even the simplest things right. If you want to erase something you wrote on the blackboard you have to individually select EVERY stroke, there is no erase all or undo button in the desktop version. Here’s the wild thing, though, there IS an option to erase all when screen sharing. ???? Why can I erase all on screen share but not on the blackboard??? However, not on any screen share since there are 2 different screen share modes. You have to be on the right one which I always forget which it is. Ridiculous, I know. Another thing that irks me, allowing students to write on the blackboard also allows them to move/erase/minimize anything you, as the teacher, have put up. Why? No teacher wants their students to have that power. I just need them to have the power to write, erase and move what they’ve written not what I have. The only things I like from the app are the rewards you can give and the rolling dice tool. Other than that, mediocre app that needs major upgrades. I do really hope they fix these problems soon.
I forgot to mention, you cannot have this app opened in more than one device which is extremely inconvenient. In the case that you make the mistake of trying to do so it will completely log you off from the original device.

Hello there! We'd like to update our reply after nearly a year has passed. Now we can accomodate selecting all and deleting/erasing, along with undo function. The same goes to desktop sharing and multidirectional screen sharing. The differences between these two modes of sharing are the image resolution and audio sharing. In answering your question regarding what students can do during the class, teachers can set the limit of students' power from the dashboard. Lastly, ClassIn supports app mirroring. So users can transfer what's on one device to another in one touch. We hope you've noticed our changes, and continue using ClassIn to deliver quality teaching. Have a great day!

The app has potential, but is deeply flawed due to something easily fixed. It’s embarrassing to use the app as a professional English teacher at a high school because it’s rife with basic grammatical errors. I feel like I am teaching my students improper English just by having them use it; for example, I love the option to send incomplete or poorly written tasks back to kids for revision, but the terribly-written description says “Needs Revise,” which makes NO sense in English. Why craft such a great app in English, yet fail to consult truly fluent speakers to ensure an EDUCATIONAL program for online teaching uses proper English?! Just do it in Chinese if you don’t have the funding or contacts to do it correctly in English.

We 100% understand the point you're raising here and we have brought on specialists to do complete proof reading of our app and dashboard and fix any language errors they can find. You will notice less and less English mistakes with each update
