App and More

Navigating the CES event via the app has been simple, easy, and well organized (as expected). The real bonus this year was being able to get badged right inside the airport - 50 feet from my gate. Great idea and set up very customer friendly!!!!

Disappointed, did y’all even test this?

There’s a hundred things I can point out, like
- the fact that I couldn’t even submit feedback through the app, so I had to place a permanent rating on the App Store
- The LinkedIn buttons are freaking useless. -.- I have no way of going through to the LinkedIn of the user, when you tap on it, it takes you to the sign in page of an in app browser and won’t let you open in the LinkedIn app or in an external browser. I can’t even just copy the url manually -.-
- Did y’all have interns build this in a month without QA, because there’s so many ways it uses older mobile styles, apis and architecture
- 3D map? For real guys, what was the point of making it 3D if everything has the same height?
- Speakers can’t be messaged directly -,- You have to find them by name and then message that user profile, which is different from the speaker profile. So if a speaker has a common first and last name used by another participant, you have no clue which one belongs to the speaker
- What exactly does the “fee $” next to certain events mean? I am pretty sure I didn’t miss it in the tutorial. Well I won’t know because there’s no way to access that walkthrough anymore.

Almost Totally useless

I think it's an embarrassment for CES to use this app. It's a cute database to browse through companies and seeing some details about them, but that would take a few months!

It's nice to see what keynotes are showing (switch could all fit on a single piece of paper).

But the map is totally useless. 3D? Why?
You can't even figure out what areas are sectioned off for what technology. Just lid up a 2D PDF and problem solved.

Instead, all you get are 3D boxes. And when you zoom in, you still see 3D boxes with numbers in them? There is no way to know what numbers represent what company. And good luck with trying to see anything if you don't know what 'floor' the exhibits are on 0...5!

I have a mission to explore new or innovative companies looking to solve a particular problem. But this app is only good if you know the name of the company. Off course if I already knew the name I could contact them directly. So much for focusing in on the right niche and finding companies filling that niche or knowing what companies are nearby the current one you're visiting.
