WiFi dependent (iPhone 13)
I feel that the google Chromecast device should be sufficient to operate screen mirror with out a connection to WiFi. Since at time my WiFi is down (storm or maintenance) it prevents me from watching previously downloaded movies to my TV.
Ridiculous that this requires a subscription.
Every app leading up to actually using Chromecast is free. Except the last app you need, Chrome-Cast Casting. This service shouldn’t cost money for many reasons. My favorite is that it doesn’t matter because I’m not stupid enough to buy it. Hey Google, we’ll use your service less if we have to pay for it. That leaves me as a very discouraged customer who’s downloaded 8 apps related to this issue. I’ll delete them and you can delete me from any ongoing surveillance that Google (who l have trusted with my info) has going. Delete…
Cannot Stream from
My Video Library I tried casting from my own video library to my Chromecast, but it kept failing. Even after troubleshooting, I couldn't get it to work. This app is definitely not reliable for casting personal content.
