Welcome to New Wirral, a remote island inhabited by strange creatures you’ve only dreamed of, nightmares you hopefully haven’t, and a cast of brave folks who use cassette tapes to transform for battle. To find a way home you’ll need to explore every inch of the island, and record monsters to your trusty cassette tapes to gain their abilities!

Explore a rich open world
Certain monster abilities can be used in human form. You’ll need these to help you get around, solve puzzles, and locate dungeons. Glide, fly, swim, climb, dash, or turn magnetic!

Editors’ Notes

Transformative cassette tapes and a rockin’ soundtrack fuel this nostalgic, monster-catching RPG.

The best of its kind!

I was so surprised and happy that the moment I got in the game it had already pulled me in! It practically did it with its music alone! I play a lot of monster catching games and this is honestly my favorite and the most innovative of them all!
Just small balance issues, for example you have remastered tapes at 50 and an enemy at 36 can nearly one-shot them lol. I do love the level scaling to keep the game fun and it would just be really nice if the levels changed as well(my brain gets a bit overly specific in how it processes sometimes lol. As others have said, I know its a lot of work with the effort and quality you put into your creations, it would be great to get more story DLC, monsters and multiplayer abilities. It would add so much and help the game stay active! Oh and one bug I forgot, when switching stickers my sticker list gets stuck on the ones they cant use and not even all of them, I have to reset the game to fix it. After some time I have found a bug that is making me not want to play the game for now. First like I said the list freezes, now stickers have started disappearing randomly from my inventory…I can’t make new teams anymore…

Love the Game, Disappointing Port

I love this game however the port is missing features and buggy. There is no multiplayer so no trading or PvP. Which is something that should probably be mentioned in the description.
The game also has some features that are bugged like monsters not changing colors along with their element. For example, a bootleg Plant type Traffikrab being the normal Traffikrab orange color instead of green in the overworld, in battle and in the stats screen. Also, monsters aren’t changing colors when struck by an attack that alters their element or when using elemental coatings. The element icon does change so players can rely on that, but that was my favorite visual feature that I enjoyed about the game.
For those who may not know. If you see a monster walking around in the overworld with a glitchy, static effect, you should definitely try to catch it.
The other issue is stickers being able to be put on any monsters even if it’s states the sticker is incompatible. Currently the game is single player so it’s not too much of issue, but it feels like the port is incomplete or wasn’t tested before release(?). I’ve also had crashes on IPad Pro, 3rd gen, although it’s been rare. Aside from bugs, missing features and unfortunate crashes, it’s playable depending on your device. I’m really hoping there will be patch fix soon. I loved playing this on Xbox and was hyped to see it released for iOS.
