Car Cave - Car Maintenance Log 4+

I have 4 cars, two are really toys. This app helps me keep track of when I last did maintenance and give reminders based on milage and time. A great help. Despite my one “issue” below, this app is for you if you want help tracking when to service your car(s).
The only thing I would change is the the way it lists maintenance due, it is alphabetical or by % of service life left, no choice of of due date. So something due in 8 months may be “yellow” if it is every 5-6 years and listed before something due in 2 months that is “green” and but due every year. Of course for my idea to work it would have to estimate miles/month to project when you will hit a milage threshold, maybe that’s why it works this way. Just scroll down to see what the dates are and you’ll be fine.

This app is great to remind me what services have already been performed since I go to different shops to get various maintenance completed. It would be even better if the recurring services allowed me to log the last time I got a major service performed (a couple of years ago) that might not be needed for a couple of years to show up as a reminder. Currently, the service history is recorded, but the “% life remaining” indicator shows that it’s not started logging yet, and I can’t retroactively start the logging. This seems like a really straightforward fix, and it would make the app even better.

FYI - I'm currently working to give users the option to log services with an ODO lower then the current car's ODO, this maybe the feature you're looking for, the feature will be released in the next update. I’m on a car trip and download the app while my wife is taking a turn driving and started entering the history for my 2015 vehicle to kill some time. After entering the most recent oil change and then entering the previous oil change, they show up in the history in the order entered, regardless if the odometer or date settings for each oil change. They are out of order. Why wouldn’t the history always show in reverse chronological or reverse odometer order as default so that the “latest” service is the most recent, not the last one entered? This seems silly to show the history in the order entered regardless of date. Now I have to stop using the app until I get home and gather all my receipts and sort them myself before entering any more. Disappointed.

Edit 06/3/24, Have you tried the latest version? - EDIT Aug 28, 2022: The ability to add previous services that were not tracked by the app was added in version 3.0, just go to the Service History screen and add your service records there. Try it and let me know what you think! - Thank you for your comments. Please keep in mind that the app it's pretty young still and new features are constantly added. Records are ordered by service date, NOT by date entered. Please note that the last service you enter is always tracked, in other words, it shows in the records screen but it really still in progress and updates as time passes, please note that it turns red, yellow or green based on the service life. If you want to log previous services, just make sure that the last service you enter is really the last service you have done for that specific service, the rest of the services can really be entered in any order and will be automatically re-ordered by service date (not by day entered). The ability to enter records directly in the records screen is coming soon, just be patient, I'm constantly improving the app. If what you're seeing is different than what I'm describing here, please contact me at support@filysalas.com and send me more details.
