Description

With the CBP Journal you can practice capoeira anywhere! Activate challenges and take your game to the next level.

With the CBP Journal you can practice capoeira anywhere! Activate challenges that will help you learn more capoeira songs and take your skills to the next level. Translate nearly 100 songs from Portuguese to English, Spanish, French, or German to gain a better understanding of the meaning behind each song.

Step up your game and practice the pandeiro, atabaque and berimbau with detailed instructions on how to play various rhythms for each instrument. Don't have an instrument to practice with at home? Each section within the app has a virtual instrument that can be played by pressing different parts of the instrument. This will allow you to practice the rhythm for each instrument. In addition to the virtual instrument, each rhythm contains a rhythm analysis chart that breaks the rhythm down into its components by using a visual chart that updates in sync with rhythm that is being played. Finally, practice your favorite instrument with a Virtual Jam Session! Choose which instruments should play in the background and play with the rhythm. Playback speed can be adjusted within the app.

Looking to practice some new moves or brush up before batizado? With the CPB app you can browse through different movements and study how each move is performed. The library of videos will continue to expand!

Since capoeira is full of history, CBP Journal is the place to go to study the history of capoeira and our group, Capoeira Brazilian Pelourinho. Study the history of capoeira and terminology.

Finally, at its core, this is a journaling application. This app is designed to be used as a tool to help your progress on your journey as a capoeirista. Write journal entries after each practice detailing what you have learned. Better yet, take a video of yourself singing a song, playing an instrument, or working on a new movement from today's class from within the journal section of the app. The video will be saved locally and if desired, the video can be uploaded directly to your YouTube account with the visibility set to your preference. All videos can be accessed offline since they are saved locally, but if you would like to free up some space you can always upload your videos to YouTube and remove the local versions.
