Description

Can You See Me Now? was one of the first location based games in the world. Available now on iOS for the first time, Can You See Me Now? is a fast paced game of chase. Created by artists Blast Theory and the Mixed Reality Lab at the University of Nottingham, it’s a mix of performance, games and art.

Guide your avatar through the streets of a virtual city chased by the runners. The twist is that the runners are real people, running on the real streets of an actual city. As your avatar dodges down alleyways in the virtual city, runners in the real city try to track you down; streaming audio in real time as they close in on you.

Can You See Me Now? won the Prix Ars Electronica, was nominated for a BAFTA and is credited as a forerunner of Pokemon Go. The game is an immersive mixed reality experience, exploring themes of presence, absence, and raising questions about our life online. Now, with the help of 164 Kickstarter backers, the game is back on the streets for new audiences on iOS.

Can You See Me Now? is a live experience. Download the app to see when the next game goes live.
