Description
This beloved American psalter, known for its comprehensiveness and ease of singing, is now available for iOS. This app includes the meter for each selection, the sheet music, and the tune. Selections can be searched and bookmarked.
The psalter offers many selections, including 9 Psalms in their entirety. Many psalm passages are set to multiple arrangements. Settings include many familiar hymn tunes, traditional tunes, some original arrangements and compositions, and a few chants.
This psalter translates JHWH into “LORD” or “Jehovah” and ELOHIM to “God.” ADONAI is sometimes translated “Lord” and sometimes “Jehovah."
When it was first printed in 1973, it was one of the first psalters to introduce more modern language into its metered translations. Translated from the original language into English meter for singing, the psalter includes 4-part music for each selection.

Simple, useful, and free!
As a PCA guy with great appreciation for my RPCNA brothers carrying on this beautiful tradition of singing psalms, I am pleased to have gotten an email from Crown and Covenant Publications about this app. The sheet music is great and the ability to play through the tune is invaluable! The addition of the Westminster standards is great as well.
My main issue is that there are only about 9 psalms available right now. Will there be other selections added later or is there a way I can add more?
